The Fitos Dezső Dance Company is careful to regularly stage dance theatre performances that consider the authentic transmission of folklore and the cultures of various historical Hungarian regions as their primary goal. Transylvania Express is a selection of Transylvanian dances and music. With this performance, we want to convey the message that traditional culture lives on in all of us who believe in the value of keeping tradition alive—because tradition defines our future!

What happens when the heroes of Mozart’s opera are portrayed on stage not by singers, but by finely crafted marionette figures?
The Salzburg Marionette Theatre’s production offers a barely one-hour version of this iconic piece from the opera repertoire: while preserving its essential musical and dramatic pillars, it guides the audience through Tamino, Pamina, and Papageno’s adventures in a more accessible, dense form.

Mozart was insatiably in love with life. He embraced everything considered “sinful”: wine, cards, billiards. And his passion extended to musical ornaments: flowery acciaccaturas, trills, cadences others dared not risk, and chromatic runs. But there can be no doubt the main objects of his desire were women. He dedicated several of his masterpieces to one or other of his lovers, who were thus immortalised by these concert and opera arias.

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.

Sándor Weöres’s literary piece entitled Psyche was the inspiration behind this dance performance, which presents the desperate struggle of a strange woman, blessed with a boundless desire for freedom, for the completeness of her love and her life.

With its dynamic, young, new, creative energy, the FrenÁk Company explores the relationship between man’s rational and free spirit in the footsteps of the Little Prince, using it as a source of inspiration.

The Grecsó brothers have been telling stories together on stage for more than a decade, bringing the past and their shared stories to life through the languages of literature, music, and dance. Their collaboration is based on the idea that literature can inspire jazz and contemporary dance.

Nosferatu returns to walk among us: the renaissance of vampire stories on screen and stage is no coincidence, as they still encapsulate our deepest fears, desires, and questions about mortality.

Gangaray Dance Company’s latest production, PULSATIONS (Axis-Flux), is a contemporary dance piece characterised by a refined formal language and a profoundly sacred atmosphere. The piece deliberately eschews linear storytelling; its focus lying solely on the sincere expressive power of movement and the visceral connection between body, space, and music. The evening marks a special milestone in the company’s history: for years, Gangaray has worked almost exclusively with female artists with an energy is as overwhelming as that of Amazons. Now, a strong male presence enters this dynamic environment as a new stabilising force.

Humanity has grown too distant from its original, natural environment. While we yearn for a more harmonious existence, we are surrounded by more and more chaos every day, making it increasingly difficult to find our way around and live a healthy life.

Our performance focuses on the boundaries of adolescence, the issues they face, their complex relationship systems, their relationship with the community and parents, hopefully helping adolescents in the transition period to accept themselves and each other, focusing entirely on the issues and the emotional and physical changes that affect them.

A Cipolla Collectiva előadása során a tánc nyelvén hívja a nézőket közös tanulmányra. A darab a természet ereje által mozduló két embert a természet részeként ábrázolja. Az öt elem - a föld, a víz, a tűz, a levegő és az éter - öt különböző, de a testre, lélekre, szellemre egyaránt ható erőként alakítja a jeleneteket a darab során.
