Each of their individual careers contains some thrilling discoveries, though their union also led to a change in their poetic language relative to their previous work. While Szilágyi's name is perhaps most familiar in Transylvania and the surrounding area, there has been increased interest in Hervay's work in recent years thanks to a greater openness to female perception in the Hungarian poetry scene. Through their words, individual and collective traumas, everyday life during Communism and a continuous search for identity are all brought to life.
