Nature is very diverse in its presence: it is dormant and awake, strong and always renewing itself. The seasons are both subtle and very deep. They consist of their own rhythmic cycles, similar to a metronome chanting a constant rhythm. Humankind uses nature to survive, adapting and regenerating every cycle, then, like a leaf, growing old and finally dying. Humans and nature are very similar: they are in constant motion, both made up of a collection of breathing, living organisms. Nature can change people’s state of mind. Though nature does not need humanity, humans depend on nature—even though they often destroy it. Most of the time, when we think of nature, it is trees that dominate our minds. It is no coincidence that we use the genealogical tree as a reference to our past, giving humanity roots and a sense of eternal continuity. Through artistic masterpieces such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, people can sometimes achieve immortality. – Aurelie Mounier

Many Ways: A work inspired by possible life journeys: the journey, the indefatigable choices, the many directions, the learning, the inner journey, and the various obstacles that each of us must overcome. My personal journey as an artist, as a human being, has guided me in many ways, full of emotions and experiences, and I have come into contact with many wonderful souls.

Péter Tóth Beauty and the Beast World premiere Fairy tale opera in Hungarian with Hungarian and English surtitle
