Az Athéni Timon Shakespeare legellentmondásosabb darabja. Az Ódry színpad új bemutatójában a címszerepet Hegedűs D. Géza, az SZFE népszerű osztályvezető tanára játssza. Mellette negyed- és ötödéves színművészhallgatók és Mátyássy Szabolcs és Kovács Adrián zeneszerzők lépnek színre.
Hogy fér össze a körülöttünk burjánzó nyomor és háború a fogyasztói társadalom csillogásával? A fiatal alkotók tükröt próbálnak tartani e látványcivilizációnak. Majd Timont a meztelen ürességbe követve próbálják feltárni a világát elhagyó ember aggályait. Végül a tisztulásban keresik a választ arra, hogy milyen pillérekre építhet a ma embere, amikor újrakezdésről beszél.
