Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra
Musical Favourites in 60 Minutes – String Romanticism

Songs from the World (traditional songs and song arrangements by Zoltán Kodály Max Knigge, Naomi Shemer, Françoise Leleu, Michael Neaum and Arvo Pärt)
Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 1 in D major “Titan”

Pairing the two German composers, Wagner and the Wagnerian Strauss in a single evening creates a sweeping and overwhelming fusion of expansive melodies and driving dramatic force. The encounter between Wagner’s mythical intensity and Strauss’s modernism is a dialogue between two musical giants who reshaped not only German but also international musical life. In the performance of the OPERA Orchestra, their compositions promise deep emotions, dense musical textures, and sonic grandeur.

műsor:
Csajkovszkij és Mendelssohn művei

There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.

Vászonra írt szenvedély: legendás filmzenék az Elfújta a széltől Az angol betegig. Hollywoodban minden korszakban más volt a szerelmi ideál, de egyvalami közös a szerelmes filmekben: a zene elsöprő ereje.

The series launched in the 2025/26 season focuses on composers whose operas receive special attention during the season. Yet there are many singers who do not find a role in the works of these masters, but who would gladly sing from their rich vocal palettes.

A legnagyobb alkotók az utókor tiszteletével övezett szimbolikus magaslatok, örök minták és példaképek. Mozart és Beethoven művészi ihletői a mindenkori változásoknak, műveik hangokból álló áramlatok, melyek hol finoman csiszoljak, hol viharos erővel alakítják zenei világképünket.

Bach: a-moll angol szvit, BWV 807
Schumann: C-dúr fantázia, op. 17
***
Beethoven: E-dúr szonáta, no. 30 op. 109
Bartók: Táncszvit

A sikerszéria záróepizódjában a nagy klasszikus filmzenék esnek áldozatul Janklovics Péter humor-pörölyének, amellyel szétcsap a Volt egyszer egy vadnyugat, a Harry Potter vagy épp A profi dallamai közt.

A természet és a létezés ünnepe Mahler és R. Strauss utolsó műveiben. Búcsúzás a teremtett világ gyönyörűségétől, melyet az apró rovaroktól a Nap ragyogásáig számba vesz a két zseniális zeneszerző.

Franz Schubert titkai - Zenei utazás, melyen kiderül, hogy a legcsendesebb emberekből lesznek a legnagyobb varázslók. „Félénk, dundi, szemüveges, és titokban a valaha írt legszebb dallamokat kottázza le.”

Following his smash-hit company debut with The Hours, composer Kevin Puts returns to the Met with his Pulitzer Prize–winning first opera, inspired by the true events of the 1914 Christmas truce, when soldiers spontaneously set aside the horrors of the First World War and crossed the trenches to mingle, exchange gifts, and sing carols with the enemy.
