Nigerian singer, guitarist and songwriter Adédèjì Adetayo is one of the most important artists of Afrobeat. He released Yoruba Odyssey, his third album, in 2022. With its ten songs, Adédèjì reached back to his roots, offering a captivating blend of progressive jazz funk, vintage afrobeat and the Yoruba tradition. Every moment of this music bears witness to the fact that Adédèjì grew up in Lagos, the bustling megapolis. He sings in Yoruba, English and pidgin.

This will be Adédèjì Adetayo’s first concert in Budapest, held on 15 October, the birthday of the legendary Fela Kuti and a day when afrobeat is celebrated at concert venues around the world.

This concert of the Liszt Fest is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with the House of Music Hungary.
